Artist Statement
Karl Nygard is a traveler of the world, bringing his experience viewing and studying great art of the past and using this as the basis of his visual language.  Karl works to create art that stirs within viewers beauty and memories of travels both natural and man-made, and both personal and informed from the past.  His goal is to create works that exemplify his passion for beauty informed by his personal history and experiences that only he can bring.
